They sky was cloudy and everything seemed wet, including Storyfur. He sat outside the Elders Den and watched the sky, hoping for the sun to just peek atleast just for a second. His gray fur was damp from the fog that hung around him and his eyes searched for cats around camp. Would any apprentices like a story on this gloomy day?

As the first drops of rain began to fall, a golden-yellow shape made its way into the den, and shook himself, sending a few rainshards back towards the entrance. Jaguarpaw nodded happily at the elder, and dropped a plump vole at his feet, smiling. "Can you tell me a tale, Storyfur?" he mewed.

"Yes young one, sit down and make yourself comfortable," he said calmly. "Are there any other apprentices around, or just you at the moment?" he asked, wishing that he wouldn't have to repeat his story more than once.

Jaguarpaw nodded respectfully to his leader, and glanced at Storryfur happily. "Nobody else is about. Just me," he mewed, and looked at his paws. "I was wondering if you could tell me a story of the ancient Clans of the past, the great cats of the forests..?"

Storyfur nodded to his leader, signaling that he to could listen. He thought for a bit about the great cats, which story could he tell? The one of the tigers battle against the lions? He didn't know... He could tell the story of the kittypet that saved the forest, but he believed Jaguarpaw wanted something else... With the bigger cats...
[Think of one later!]

Storyfur nodded. "Yes, along time ago there were the four great clans of the forest," he begun the traditional way, saying each clan and what they were good at.
"There was one small tiger, his name was Snowkit for his pelt was as white as the snow in Bare-Leaf. Now, the leader of TigerClan at that time was Fiercestar and just days before young Snowkits birth it had snowed in the middle of Green-Leaf! This was quiet odd and Fiercestar took it as a sign from StarClan."

Jaguarpaw nodded, one hundred per cent engaged. "What happened? ...When Snowkit was born?" he meowed, excited.

Weaselpaw sprang in unceremoniously, the calico spreading his gaping jaws and looking at Storyfur in a bit of puzzlement. He sat down, but shimmied over to Jaguarpaw, whispering in the cat's ear, "What's old Storybabble sayin' now? Some story?" He yawned a bit, but looked at Storyfur, grinning widely. Oh, the cat was so annoying. And he obviously didn't give a fox's tail about Snowstar being in the same den.
"Hey, Storyfur, have ya ever heard of a lynx? I still don't know what the heck they are. Tell me about them." Ever since the secret incident at the Thunderpath, Weaselpaw had been obsessed about learning about what lynxes were. So far, no matter how much the obnoxious apprentice probed and prodded, he learned nothing. He mumbled in Jaguarpaw's ear cheerfully, "Hey, Jaguarpaw, you think the old fursack'll tell me something 'bout those lynxes?" Weaselpaw told Jaguarpaw everything- except for the incident. Weaselpaw just told the other tom that he had heard the word somewhere, and he was just curious. Yeah. Pfft. What an excuse.

Jaguar swatted at his friend's ear playfully. "Shhhh. Can't you tell he's trying to talk, Weaselpaw?" The apprentice burst out in fits of giggles. "Maybe there's a lynx thingy in the story..."

Weaselpaw gawked, batting at Jaguarpaw's own ear. "Oh, pshaw, Jaguarpaw. This old guy wouldn't remember where his own tail was. Think about it! Elders do babble a lot. They probably don't know anything other than their stories. I mean, sheesh, you know all they do is go 'Well, you're lucky that you weren't around during my time!'. I think all they do is stuff themselves full of vole, sneeze, and then fall over and go to Starclan..."

"Now is that a way to talk about elders?" Mooncloud asked. She walked towards the elder and apprentices. "Hello, Storyfur, Jaguarpaw, Weaselpaw, Snowstar" she bowed to Snowstar politely.

Jaguarpaw couldn't hold it in much longer. His expression broke into a smile, and he spluttered out a laugh at his friend's words. Hilarious, really. "Haha! Sneeze and fall over... sneeze and fall over! Whooheehaaa!"

Weaselpaw grinned mischeviously, batting his eyes innocently at Mooncloud, seeming to whimper as he lowered his ears. "Oh, I'm so sorry. So sorry, I am!" He moaned pitifully, rolling over. He quickly got up, sitting straight as an alert dog. "Alright, tyrannical deputy, what horrible deed shall you force me to do for my horrific crimes?" He puffed out his chest, and then found himself laughing as well. Stifling a few giggles, Weaselpaw looked at Jaguarpaw. "Heh. Hey, buddy, how about we go run off? I mean... won't it be fun? Catchin' rabbits, breaking rules. You know you want to."
